The primary objective of the Company is the satisfaction of Customers and other parties involved in its activity. This is achieved by meeting Customer requirements as defined in contracts, social requirements (in particular, obligations deriving from laws, regulations, codes, etc.), environmental, health and safety requirements (as applicable to Company’s and Customer’s personnel as well as the community) and by using good engineering practices.

This objective is achieved through the implementation of the following:

Complying with all international and local laws, rules and regulations in force and with international standards and codes in its design and/or construction activities.
Ensuring full observance of the laws concerning safety and environmental protection as well as of the HSE policy developed by SIIRTEC NIGI S.p.A. and of relevant internal procedures and operating instructions.
Adopting and implementing the directions of the legislative Decree 231/2001, which is included in the company’s Organization and Management Procedure, and making sure that the requirements, instructions and protocols included in such Procedure are met in strict cooperation with the Company Organismo di Vigilanza -OdG (Supervising Body);
Applying the latest design principles to plant design (process engineering, detail engineering, construction, start-up).
Commitment to continuous improvement of its knowledge base in order to improve available technologies.
Applying design options offering better protection for people with the lowest impact on the environment and ensuring preservation of resources taking into consideration the results of continuous assessment of the context, risks and opportunities following the principles of Risk Based Thinking;
Making available appropriate professional resources and financial means to enable full implementation of the HSE-Q (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) Management System and, consequently, to reach the planned objectives.
Obtaining feedback on system effectiveness and efficiency (Management reviews, monitoring, measurements, and data analysis).
Making all company personnel aware of the organisational structures and the importance to comply with Customer requirements, as well as encouraging involvement and development of personnel.
Making available the resources necessary to achieve specific safety goals and to constantly improve safety conditions.
Increasing awareness at all company levels of matters relating to industrial safety and environmental protection by providing adequate training of its employees and checking their professional education taking into consideration technological developments and new risks to be faced.
Making sure that proper operating procedures and responsibilities are defined, properly communicated and well understood by all workers.
Ensuring awareness of all personnel of corporate quality policy and of every employee’s individual responsibility for the implementation of the techniques and procedures included in HSE-Q management system.
Assessing the risks of work-related illness and accidents and minimizing them by taking appropriate protective actions, wherever possible, and by adopting general measures and protections. Individual protection measures are adopted in the absence of other alternatives or as additional safety measures.
Ensuring that materials and services purchased meet suitable safety standards and Environment protection
Requiring all external Parties (Suppliers and Subcontractors) working for the company to implement policies in line with these directives.
Operating in order that all Employees, Partners, Customers, Suppliers and Subcontractors feel committed to the implementation of a continuous improvement programme to jointly attain the final goal, i.e. Customer satisfaction and the satisfaction of all other parties involved, observance of Health and Safety requirements and Environment protection.

This Policy is made available to all company Personnel, its customers, suppliers, and to anybody wishing to get acquainted with it.
