Normal stable vapour pressures are in the range of 0.6 - 0.8 bar but can range widely depending on environmental conditions or transport specifications.
Several different configurations can be applied such as the multi-flash stabilization or the use of stabilization column which can be feed-refluxed (standard configuration) or refluxed (sometimes by a dedicated Chilling Unit). Overhead vapours can be also recovered by compression along flash gases from upstream to improve stable condensate recovery.
In case of sour streams, when the stable oil or condensate still contain a high level of H2S, the stream can be stripped by means of sweet gas or nitrogen stream in a dedicated stripping column located downstream stabilization to allow safe atmospheric storage.
